Make a Harley Quinn Costume for Halloween | 5 DIY STEPS

Don’t cop out this Halloween! Make an authentic Harley Quinn costume to create memories that will last! You get what you buy so make it count. Here are five easy steps to assemble the perfect costume.

Create your own unique Harley Quinn Costume this Halloween!

Create a Harley Quinn Costume

1. Pick Your Color Scheme and Harley Quinn Comic Outfit

Throughout the years Harley Quinn has appeared in several different outfits.  These evolve with the change of writers and illustrators.  Options include the classic court jester, hospital lab attire or baseball wear.  The recent Suicide Squad movie advertised a mesh of blues and reds.  I chose reds, whites and blacks because it requires less custom work.

2. Order a Retro Baseball Jacket Online & a Mini Baseball Bat From the Brewer Stadium

Baseball jackets are very complex so feel free to order one online.  Adding wording to the back is also a great idea. I bought mine on Amazon for under $15.00.  When we last went to a Brewer game we picked up a couple mini wood baseball bats.  These worked perfect!

3. Look at T-shirt and Shorts Options

I saw limited buying options for adolescent T-shirts online so I decided to make my own.  I took a red shirt and a white shirt and sewed them together. Then I took a fabric marker and wrote the words: “Daddy’s Lil Monster” on red felt.  Shorts were available at all Walmart stores nationwide during Halloween.

4. Style Your Hair

Rather than the court jester headband(which I bought as well just in case) I choose pigtails and ribbon.  Then instead of messy Halloween makeup I used everyday classic ivory face powder and red lipstick.  Feel free to smudge the lipstick to look more authentic.

5. Don’t Forget Tights, Shoes and a Yellow Belt

If you have red chucks that would be a great addition to the costume.  For a pop of color a yellow belt was thrown in at the last second.  Also, It can get cold trick or treating so add some warmth with tights or leggings.
